David Hockney Sees A Big Splash was originally made for Frean's 2016 exhibition at Paul Smith's shop in Mayfair, London, and depicts Hockney's eureka moment just before he paints his 1967 Californian poolside painting, A Bigger Splash.
We are pleased to announce this painting has been accepted by the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2017 committee and will be shown at the Royal Academy from 12 June - 20 August. The original has now sold, but you can purchase prints here.
